Collections & Loan Periods
More Than Books
In addition to our fine collection of novels and informational titles, the Hartland Public Library offers a wide variety of media and special collections. Find your ancestors and the history of local buildings in the Hartland History section, choose an audio book for that long car trip, or select from our large collection of DVDs for family viewing. If we don’t have it we can get it – just ask!

Loan Periods
Most books, including new books and audio books, go out for three weeks. DVDs, CDs and magazines go out for one week. Select reference books may also circulate for one week.

Renewals
You may renew your items in person, by phone or at our library website on the CAFÉ Catalog under My Account. Some items, like new books and books on hold for another patron may not be renewed.

Holds
You may place holds on items at no cost. The number of holds per patron is limited to 25. Holds may be placed by telephone or at our library website, on the CAFÉ Catalog. You will be notified when your items are available, either by phone, email or text, and you will have seven days in which to pick them up. If you have not yet signed up for email or text notification and wish for this service please access your account online or check with the circulation desk.

Late Fees
The overdue fine for all items is $0.10 per day. The only exceptions are Inter-Library loan items from outside of the Bridges Library System, which carry a late fee of $1.00 per day.
